Seeking one act plays written by North Carolinian playwrights!

Scripts must be written in Standard Play Format

Scripts must be 10-20 pages in length

Playwright(s) should be available to attend the table reading in-person at the Cary Arts Center (101 Dry Avenue, Cary – NC 27511) on Sunday, October 12th 2025 (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM EST).

What is The Cary One Act Workshop?

The Cary One Act Workshop is a collaboration between two Cary-based non-profit organizations: Cary Players AND The Cary Playwrights’ Forum

The workshop is a one-day-only table reading of 3-4 short plays on Sunday, October 12th at the Cary Arts Center (101 Dry Avenue, Cary – NC 27511).

Workshop timeframe is 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM EST

After each reading, the participating artists and the audience will provide written feedback for the playwright.
