THE BOYS IN THE BAND by playwright Mart Crowley is a celebrated play that has seen productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway, two film adaptations, and a vinyl record of the original New York cast. Inspired by people in Crowley’s life and real-world injustices, Crowley wrote this play to let truths be known about the lives of gay men.
