Back for the 12th year, it’s the one and only, ever-popular, never-duplicated, totally untamed PlaySlam! This is something like a poetry slam with short plays vying for fame, and fortune. Who wins? The audience decides! With one night for rehearsal AND performance, the actors dive headlong onto the stage and perform all Round 1 plays.
Script doctor Will Bennett will return to his hometown to teach playwriting and screenwriting in two venues this fall. Bennett will be teaching a two-hour, weekly playwriting class for adults at the Carrboro ArtsCenter beginning on Thursday, September 11. Classes begin at 6:15 and end at 8:15pm, September 11 – December 4 (12 weeks). $216
